Odoo Experience Americas takes place on 2 and 3 September 2026, followed later in the month by the main Odoo Experience event in Brussels from 24 to 26 September. Odoo has confirmed that Odoo 20 will be released during the Brussels event.
For business leaders, the value is not simply a list of new features. These events show where the platform is moving and which parts of a company's wider software landscape may now be practical to simplify.
Watch the complete operating model
Odoo spans finance, CRM, sales, purchasing, inventory, manufacturing, HR, projects, field service, helpdesk, websites, eCommerce, point of sale and marketing. Improvements in one application matter most when they reduce work across the full process.
A new manufacturing feature, for example, should be assessed in the context of demand, purchasing, stock, quality, costing and delivery. An AI feature should be judged by the workflow and data it uses rather than the quality of a demonstration.
Five areas we will be watching
1. AI inside established workflows
The useful question is not whether AI is present. It is whether it helps users complete real work with appropriate control, context and traceability.
2. Manufacturing, inventory and quality
We will look for improvements that give planners and operational teams clearer information without making the system harder to use on the shop floor.
3. Finance and reporting
Connected finance is central to the ERP case. Changes that improve reconciliation, control, consolidation and management visibility can affect the value of the entire platform.
4. eCommerce, retail and point of sale
Retailers need the customer, product, stock, order and payment experience to remain connected across online and physical channels.
5. Usability and adoption
The strongest capability has limited value if employees avoid it. We will pay attention to everyday navigation, mobile work, reporting and the speed at which a user can complete a task correctly.
Do not upgrade because the version number changed
Existing Odoo customers should assess the new version against a controlled upgrade plan. Review custom modules, integrations, data, testing, training and the business periods when change would create the least risk.
Businesses considering Odoo for the first time should use the launch to understand direction, but platform selection still needs to begin with Discovery and fit. A new feature cannot compensate for a weak operating design or an implementation that does not involve users.
What happens after the event?
Cloudsaber will translate the announcements into practical guidance for UK businesses. We will separate useful operational improvements from features that are interesting but not yet relevant, then update our implementation and migration advice accordingly.
